The EXMAT22 Alu Butyl Damping material from AMPIRE is a self-adhesive composite structure of 2.1mm butyl with a 0.15mm aluminium layer.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- Self-adhesive composite structure intended to damp vibrations. Materials vibrate and transmit this vibration and/or emit noise. The EXMAT22 damping material absorbs these vibrations. They are dissipated as heat.
- The EXMAT22 tapes are composed of a butyl viscoelastic layer and of a pre-stressed aluminium layer.
- The EXMAT22 tapes are 2 to 4 times lighter than traditional products. They offer better thickness and weight savings while giving identical performance.
- Due to the use of a viscoelastic butyl, the damping performance works over a broad range of temperatures (-30°C to +80°C).
- The application is easy even at low temperatures. It matches the contours of the surface when applied.
- The visual face is a smooth aluminium foil (pre-stressed layer). The adhesive face is also protected by a peelable, non-adhering liner.
